Some methods that I actively use in the rehabilitation of my patients who suffer from headaches/ migraine
People often do not take headaches/migraine seriously and try to eliminate them with medications, not suspecting that it can be a symptom of dangerous diseases.
Different types of headache have different causes.
It can be:
primary - in this case, migraines, tension or cluster pains are diagnosed, and
secondary, provoked by diseases of the cervical spine.
Headache pains can be of different intensity: they are usually bilateral, compressive or pressing in nature. They occur as a result of muscle spasm in the back of the head. Cervicogenic can imitate any others and are the result of osteochondrosis, intervertebral hernia, and neuralgic disorders.
In both cases, discomfort can be eliminated with the help of manual therapy without the use of medications. Getting rid of a headache with the help of manual therapy is achieved by relieving muscle spasms, restoring the anatomy of the spine, and eliminating pressure on the nerve roots.
To prevent the pain symptoms I usually use a complex of different methods such as
- manual therapy by the Mulligan
- massage therapy
- physiotherapy
- shock wave therapy with computer diagnostics
- reflexology with Lyapko applicators
Just after a first session, a patient's condition improves, the frequency of headache attacks gradually decreases and the pain syndrome disappears.
Manual recreation doesn't have side effects of medications and gives a quick effect from the beginning.
